Fairy Tale Prom 2012

Well it's that time of year again, that's right, prom time! It's that glorious time of year when you beg your parents for large sums of money, get to dress up in fancy-shmancy duds and finally get up the nerve ask your crush to be your date. Ahh. To be a teenager again! Just kidding, I have no idea what goes on at prom, exept for what I see in the movies o_0 Prom seems to be about sparkly dresses, cheap decorations and dancing around awkwardly in circles. (kidding! :D I'm sure it's awesome. hehe) See, I was enrolled in an online high school and worked at nights, so I didn't get to have a prom. It would have been really awkwawrd to go to an Online Highschool prom where nobody knows anybody. o_o haha! Anyway, I thought I would do something a little different for you prom goers this year. Hold on to your seats! It's gunna' be a good one! (I had too much coffee this morning can you tell? -_-) I decided to create prom looks inspired by fairytale characters that we all know and love. =D This blog is going to be made up of a few different parts, so hang in there with me, this is just part 1! Best Costumes From the Movies-Van Helsing Brides

MARISHKA

I just LOVE Marishka's costume. I don't know if I'm biased because gold is my favorite color, but I just love the whole look! Not to mention her hair color is to die for! And don't even get me started on her jewelry! The earrings, oh my goodness the giant chandelier earrings. 0_0 They are just beautiful. Anyone know where I can get a pair of these beauties? xD

VERONA

I can't help but think of thos old shakespearean actors when I look at her costume. It has that amazing high collar around the neck, and the flowy peaseant sleeves. What is not shakespearean however, is the deep V of the bust and the well, absence of any material beneath the bust. The woman who plays Verona has a wickedly tobned body and pulls the dress off without a hitch! Anybody know the name an number of her trainer? o_0 Seriously. lol

ALEERA

Aleera's costume is probably the one I would wear, ya know, if I were a gorgeous blood sucking bride of Dracula. lol. The pink of this dress goes perfectly with her skin tone and hair color. I think the firey red hair really brings out the pink hues in the dress. The overall effect is that she seems to be glowing red, which is appropiate considering she is the hot head of the brides. (No offense to the redheads out there. lol) I have to say that the corset just pulls the whole look together. She's showing a ample amount of bosom and then she gets the added plus of a corset to help give her a curvier shape. (Not that she needed it!)
